Has anyone purchased and installed the ones offered by Infiniti for the G37?

I have not seen anyone mention accent lighting yet. If you do get them please take installation pix (and before/after)

Well I ordered the lighting and got to say it was a good deal.I contacted my dealer who wanted $168 plus tax for the same part I got for $124 from Sewell.

In talking to customer service at Sewell he did say others have purchased the interior accent lighting,it would be nice to know if anyone here has done so.

the fun part will be the installation!

I have not looked at any of the products available. Are these LED-based bulb replacements or addon parts?

good question,I assume add on.My understanding is that the controls for interiorlighting will control the accent lighting as well,it just looks great in the Sewell photo on-line with the blue lights.

OK, I had the "ambient lighting kit" installed this week during my G37's first checkup. I had ordered the part earlier from the parts department. It's three little lights that fit underneath the dash and illuminate downward towards the carpet. There's one on the driver's side, and two on the passenger side. They kind of "glow" similar to the tiny light from the overhead that illuminates the console at night. Not bright (but not supposed to be). Very cool!

I've tried to order the "illuminated kickplates" but no go so far in the parts department as they don't show it out yet (brochure said late availability). Installation was $240 which is far more than the cost of the item, but reflects the fact that they have to take the side of the dash panel out, thread the cable through the center console to the other side, mount it and connect it to the electrical system.

ThanksNorm

Hey Norm... your dealer lied to you. The illuminated kickplates ARE available... in fact they've been "illuminating" my G since Mid October last year. Tell 'em they better check again. The interior accent lighting sounds interesting, think I'll look into that.

Edit: Should have added it took the dealer about 45 minutes to install.

I have installed the lights there are two,one for the passenger and driver foot wells. They come on when the exterior lights are on not when opening the door.Took about 2 hours to do the job, mainly because it was a little cold working but the disassembly and assembly of lower dash took sometime,I hope that helps.

So basicly its like having glow sticks under your dash? (know I'm going to get hated on for using that example) How sweet does it look while driving?
