I was looking at some greddy ones then i came across this one on ebay, just wanted some opinions on if it was a good buy or if they would be foolin me into buyin somethin that was really a POS . So let me know what you guys think...

the front mount isn't really needed, the stock i/c's are good to 400whp, and there are upgrade sidemounts available that work very well and you don't have the big honking i/c hanging our front and you also won't be restricting air flow to your radiator

also when dealing with i/c's more shorter rows is more efficient then fewer longer rows as found in the front mounts

on the subject of ebay cheapies, they are decent but from all I have found they are not on par with their more expensive name brand counterparts, treadstone sells a lot of quality i/c's on ebay

and as for inlet outlet size, it's best to match the inlet and outlets to your piping size, the increase or reduction in size can add to pressure drop and increase lag, also the shorter the piping the better, more piping = mopre pressure dropa dn more lag

IMO, if you want to go fmic, you're best off spending a little more and getting a quality name brand FMIC as opposed to a no-name ebay one.

i was looking at that one aswell, but dont believe anything they say in their advertisement except the specs, on the intercooler, ive seen so many ad's for that same exact intercooler with the same pictures, the same ol story about we have this many factories that output this many intercoolers a day, yada yada malarky, just go for name brand.... materfact get stillen sidemounts

high feedback just means he sells a lto of stuffa nd ships quickly and describes the product accurately, before I got my treadstone I had an ebay no name crossflow, looked good, larger core, shiney and all that, I replaced ti with a vertical flow treadstone, and my intake tems went down by 40 degrees! the beauty of datalogging is you can see actual intake tems and see just what the i/c swap did, the treadstone I used has a smaller vertical core, as opposed to the larger crossflow, same thickness, same inlet and outlet, the vertical allowed me to shorten the piping by 2 or 3 feet, but the intake temps do not lie, I bet with a datalog you'd find that fmic was less efficient than the stock sidemounts!

I would actually advise you to run around 2-2.5" piping on your hot side, due to you wanting your hot side to be smaller that way it flows faster, and in effect increases your spool up time, and you want your cold pipe to be 3"...so if you get 3" inlet/outlet, you may have to use a reducer on your hot side...but what do I know about 300zx's...
