Guys I will soon be going to a drag strip with my Versa. I will be running against a Cobalt SS modified manualMustang V6 auto heavily modifiedMazda 6 4 cylinder Manual lightened considerablyVSMy 6 speed with Stillen Axleback exhaust.

I hope to have slips and video from when we go. I expect us going next weekend or one of the following weekends.

I don't have the 4 speed auto but it will give you a rough quarter mile time. That way you can tell if MightyVersa's Versa beat a 97 Prelude SH. I could drag my friend with one, but I go to drag strips.

PS: Its just a couple of guys going. Not trying to prove anything. We are going to have fun time!

Why even bother? Those cars aren't even in the same class as the Versa. It's more beneficial if you raced against a Fit, Yaris, Aveo or even a Scion xD.

If that was the case to race against them, then I'd go with an Altima 3.5 S, Lancer GTS or something a bit more similar yet fair competition.

Funny you say that, when it comes to drag racing...no such thing as racing in the same class.

Well, sh*t, I find it the similar as target practice. If you're going to shoot a target that's 500 meters away with a sniper and another average marksman person shoot with a 9mm Beretta pistol 500 meters, it's pretty obvious to me!

Besides that, I don't know much about drag racing, but the V engine isn't that powerful and fast to race against many vehicles in a different class.

Hey Mr Lovesaga, Lol, trying to prove me wrong. I just hope you can drive, cause sometimes its the driver! I can get from 0 - 60mph in 8.88 sec (BEST RUN BY THE WAY) I average 9.5 sec, so enough with my talk on seeing if you can drive, go embarrass us already at the races!!! f**kin Ricer

Why would anyone heavily modify an automatic V6 Mustang?

Chrysler's first-generation Caravan (car-based, transverse) could be had with a factory turbo 4. They're pretty quick for a family car.

Actually, a modded Versa makes more sense to me than a modded V6 Mustang. There's no hotter versa to step up to from the factory. If you're going to mod your V6 Mustang, why not just get a V8 Mustang?

But then why not argue for a Sentra/Altima SE-R. Mustang is the highest model of Ford (within reason, GT is redonkulous).

I believe in modding cars that dont get modded. If you have an Altima or Maxima or even a Rustang, the chances of people having these cars are great. They usually get all the same performance parts and unlike the Versa, there arent thousands of people with this car and all got the same CAI, Header, Exhaust......but every rustang owner usually have the same sheot, along with Civic having fart cans. The reason I do what I do with my Versa is to be different, stand out and to have bragging rights to say no-one else is doing what I am doing. Although there are some items that we cant help have the same stuff like the Fujita Intake, but the rims and tires, sticker kit, limo tint, altezza tail lights n so forth make me stand out from you other Versa owners, I am the only guy that I can see with Altezza Tail Lights, there might be a couple more, but I havent seen them!!! Makes me different and feel different.

As much as I hate Cobalt's, you have to admit the SS has ba11s, I mean for such a cheap car. 260 hp. That's more than double the Versa.
