Either that or be tortured to death by your dictator. Never know when he may have an urge to gas an intire population like he did to the kurds.

Well, you never know how those "civilians" died, ie: who's bombs or bullets did em' in or if they were even civilians. Its always troubling to see pictures of people that look like civilians hurt, but its pretty much a fact of war, and without more information on the subject I can not really make a judgement about it. I know that if my friends in Iraq tell me we are doing good things there, then by god I'm going to believe them because its firsthand information, not some possibly biased website.

What we're seeing is dead bodies. However its impossible for us to interpret them. Anti-war folks think the US caused it. Pro-war folks think Saddam-loyalist rebels caused it.

Not much room for armchair analysts in this case. On an intellectual level, they're useless for anything but shock value.

Agreed. The one thing we know for certain, is they are dead.

Freedom comes at a price.

Anyone see that poll on cnn's web site the other day. The polled Iragis to see what they honestly thought. They say we have done more harm than good, but it was worth it to get rid of Sadam Insane.

war isn't fought with playing cards sadly:(

I remember reading a news paper article interviewing a soldier who talked about shooting a 12ish boy who was carrying an RPG towards the enemy. Granted, it certainly wasn't something he wanted to do, but if they'd gotten the rpg, it'd have cost him and his comrades thier lives. You just gotta do what you gotta do to.

12 year old with an RPG. And I thought i was doing good to have a pellet rifle.

But really, that would suck. I hate that he was forced to make that choice. It would be hard to deal with, but he made the right one.

Whether we did it or they did it , I hope this makes people think twice before beating their egotistical war drum
