There is unique, then there is this...

Wow, that looks worse then I could have imagined if someone described it to me.

I think the car he owned before this was a dodge stealth

Same idiotic spoiler position

Better to not have a spoiler than to do this to this nice car

Maybe it's a handle for the trunk lid. Better allow for a new trunk lid, paint etc. in winnning bid.

that is probably why the car hasn't sold. No one would be caught dead driving it with that hideous thing on the back.

Looks like the spoiler I had on my '96 Monte Carlo Z34! Traded for the '97 Q of course.

Looks odd, but not terrible. I mean its high-mounted but thats one heck of a swoopy trunk.

Truly an error to place that spoiler there. Disrupts the air flow and probably hinders mileage a tad.

Horrid. It takes away from the swooping tail end. Maybe he intended it for a luggage rack?

Most spoilers are there for a reason.... Or at least have some benefit...... having it there would do nothing, except get in the way of rear view......

And now, for a moment of silence.............. :(

elwesso.....I think most spoilers/ Wings....whatever you want to call them are all show....90 % of them do nothing good for a vehicle. Most of them probably hinder the vehicle's performance

Actually, I think I remember Q45Tech saying the one on the 90-96Q does help hold down the back of the car at high speeds... I assume it's functional on the J as well.

The spoiler on the J30t is to spoil lift chacteristics that develop on the car at high speeds due to its rounded shape. It does affect the drag coefficient.

i bet it lowers the Cd as well as counteracting lift in the rear. The J30 suffers from an overly-rounded boat tail, which really hurts the Cd. A car with the same frontal area, but with a squared-off rear would have an appreciably lower drag coeff. an underpan and twin diffusers would really help us out too.
