The timing scatter as a result of the crank signal is not uncommon on the 350z some are worse then others but it is not significant enough of a problem that nissan will address it. simply because its duration of failure and the fact they dont use FI on it factory. Nissan's general attitude toward their cars is they are built good enough. But if you start adding stuff to it they are quick to point the finger at what you added as the source of the problem. I have gathered over the last couple years with them they love to "pass the buck".
