A few days ago I was sitting in my 2008 EX35 in my driveway after getting home from work. I checked my phone after parking. The car was off. I had not yet opened the door. I was sitting there on my cell, and I accidentally hit either a button on the key fob, or a lock button on the door. Not really sure which because as I had the key in my hand, the same hand reached blindly for the door and I clicked a button. Wasn't paying attention because it had been a long day, and didn't really think much of it. Got out, alarm went off, pressed the UNLOCK button on the key to disable the alarm, exited the car, shut drivers door and then touched the button on the outside driver's door handle to lock her up. The following morning the alarm again went off when opening the driver's door. Pressed the LOCK button on the fob to disarm, and drove to work as normal. Locked her up as before when I arrived at work. Upon returning to my car later in the day I opened the driver's door and the alarm, again, went off. Pressed the button on the outside door handle to disable. Then i got to thinking... I didn't unlock the car before pulling the driver's door open. Usually I do in one smooth motion - reach for the handle, press the button, and open the door all at the same time. Got out of the car. Pressed the button on the door handle to fasten her up, but the driver's door does not lock. It still beeps when I press the outside buttons, and honks when I click the key fob, but the driver's door still won't lock. And now the alarm isn't arming. It still beeps or honks when I press the buttons on the key or door, and every other door but the driver's door will lock, but no alarm. What gives? Not that it makes any difference, but two weeks ago I got the full 60k mile service at the local Infiniti stealership. Called the stealership to see if they had any insight, and it isn't anything they've heard of, but I can bring by, and they'll take a look at it for a diagnostic fee. Just trying to provide every little detail in case any of matters, and I hope someone here has had something similar occur. Surely it's something stupidly simple, but I can't figure it out. Oh, and I have two keys, and the same thing happens no matter which key I have with me. You've helped me in the past, and thanks in advance if you all can help again.
