Over on Autopia, I had read about Mintex pads and how good they were. For GP, I decided to look at Mintex to see if they had brake pads for Maximas. Sure enough, they do.

Here's some info about the company: http://www.mintex.co.uk/index.html

Here's some part numbers/info for the A33 (3.0):

Front Pad: MDB1451 Front Rotor: MDC1546 Rear Pad: MDB1501

They also have pads for A32 and J30 Maxes.

I have heard some good things about Mintex also. I'm due for some front pads soon, so I might check them out.

What sucks is that the '02-'03s can't get them.

How do they compare to EBC green stuff? I just installed EBC green stuff front brake pads. No noise for the first month then I started to hear annoying sqeeking. I might be changing brake pads soon. Nick

Let me ask a Porsche/Audi enthusiast who has them on his car.

I talked to the guy yesterday and he says that Mintex is a very good brake pad. He mentioned that these pads are the cleanest in terms of brake dust. In fact, he said that these pads are the lowest he's seen in terms of dusting.

As for performance, the pads are equivalent to the stock pads on his Audi which are more than likely leagues better than the stockers on the Maxima.
