FYI, I just read Auctions America is auctioning off the cars owned by a Dr. Terry Bennett in Rollinsford, NH. I never heard of the guy but what makes this event appealing is that he owned 139 vehicles. A lot of them are very rough but there are many gems mixed in. I drooled as I paged thru the list. Fascinating how this guy ended up with such a huge fleet of cars. He seemed particularly obsessed with Mercedes Diesels, original mini's and Mazda 323's.

There are three R32 Skylines, though one is rough. I'm thinking (not seriously) about bidding on one of the nicer original mini's or the nicest Skyline. If you live anywhere near Manchester, you might want to check it out.

I wish the auction would have coincided with my NHMS trip, but it didn't work out. Oh well.

Here's a link to the list....

Interesting collection of cars.
I wonder if Nala will show up to bid on the Isuzu with the snowplow. :chuckle:

Realistcally, what would you expect to pay for either of the Skylines? The '90 seemed to be in better shape than the '92.

Good question. I haven't really thought about it. I suspect neither have run in quite some time, so I wouldn't pay top dollar.

If the Skylines are not Motorex cars then I would not bid on them. Still a couple years to go before the R32's are over the 25-year rule.

$20k, a multi-car hauler and more time than common sense and you could have a field day.

The 190E Cosworth's are nearly "collectible".
The 323 GTX we're unbelievable offerings at the time, close to mass market rally cars.
The early 90's Audi quattro coupes are screaming to be made into ersatz S2's.

Again more time & money than common sense could get a guy kicked out of his own house.

Neat find Joel. The R32s seem to be out of place with all those hatches and wagons. That mini moke is weird looking, I've never seen one before. A decent suspension lift and it could be a fun toy. The guy must have went out once a month and picked up another car to accumulate a fleet like this.

I wonder if Wayne Carini will make his way up there. I get sucked into watching his show quite a bit.

The only car he would be interested in is the Ferrari and it does not look to be in very good condition. Well, maybe a couple of the race cars......

I really like Carini's show too. I clicked on the Ferrari and it looked pretty trashed. I was also thinking that BMW racecar might catch his eye.

I only saw one Skyline. That beat up white R32. GTS4. $6xxx? Really. Wow!!!

No engine or transmission, missing front bumper and interior in total disarray.
