Hey all I have been talking to Jason Uselmann from Exedy about possibly making a run of clutches for the CA18det specifically their 3 puck stage 2 cerametallic clutch(just like a cusco but less expensive). Just wanting to see a show of hands from peeps about how many people would like to see another major clutch manufacturer enter the ring for us, rather then just SPEC/ACT/CENTERFORCE( or anyone that does not make a designated 1st time fit clutch option for us). I told him about the mods we would have to perform in order to make the SR20 setup work and said it would be nice to finally have them make us a unit that would be a direct bolt on instead of having to grind bellhousings buy goofy starters and go through a crazy process just to have a clutch we would like. Soooooo opinions?????????
I think it would be great just my 2C. :dblthumb:

Sounds good to me, but I'm not in the market for a clutch, so IDK how much help I am.

Well right now it's just an idea, and I figured I would run it past them being I wanted that clutch particular clutch, which they don't offer right now but figure I would talk to them and see if it would ever be a happening thing. I told them if they wanted to get a general idea of the possibilities of who would want these clutches, to check between us on nico and club s12, and a few others. I asked to see if the pricing could be similar to the SR20det version which is roughly $380-400 for the kit. They look very nice too and have great reviews. (Like I said similar to the Cusco but at a fraction of the cost) and the cerametallic pucks have a great life. So right now regardless of if you would need one at the moment or not I just want to know a rough idea of how many people would like to see them produce one in general. (or maybe even made to order or something) I told him we aren't the demographic like the sr20 kids, but the ca18det has it's niche in the crowd and there are enough of us that it might make it profitable for them to possibly produce one at some point :yesnod
