***EDIT: they're here ***

I know it's late, but they are available now, and plenty in stock!!! No special on these yet (not sure if we will be running a special at all) because of so many projects in the works.

2.5" S13/S14 240sx hi-flow cats

These high flow cats are made as bolt-on replacements for oem 240sx/Silvia converters. It is recommended to have a 2.5" exhaust system and appropriately sized header or downpipe to fully utilize this cat; however, it will also bolt onto your stock setup. Better flow than your stock cat, but keeps you from passing out or getting nausea from the uncatalyzed fumes of test pipes.

These are not CARB Legal, but we've run them on the dyno & pass smog sniffer wise. They also don't smell like test pipes & gutted cats .

Only down side is the only 2.5" gaskets we could find are OEM Nissan multi-layer ones, which are wonderful, but expensive (optional).

You can do what I did & purchase 3" gaskets & use it w/ this - worked fine for me for the past few months.

If you do decide to order, please put down "QV says hellos! Thanks for getting the 2.5" cats made" in the Order comments on the site to let my bosses know that I'm doing my job .

Thanks guys!QV

No demand for those ; we have them made in bulk in order to give everyone lower pricing. You'd want 2.25" for stock sized 240sx - you can get the universal ones and have a shop weld on flanges.

I see. Well, you can get a custom one done at a local muffler shop. Catco does make 2" universal cats. If this is being run on a 240sx, I'd rather go a larger piping diameter (or at least stock sized) anyway .

Good luck!

You don't need to convert. 2.5" cat will mate up w/ the stock system. I ran it this way when I was first upgrading the car.

In fact, one of our guys @ work actually runs a 3" cat on his now stock S14, even passed smog!

LOL, silly... i dont have a STOCK system, I said I had a 2" custom catback zhaust system and I need a 2" high flow cat, but i cant find them anywhere, so if i was to buy a 2.5" would a muffler shop be able to conver it to 2.5" and have it run successfully?

What I'm trying to say is that you don't necessarily need to convert anything .

Your custom 2" exhaust system: does it bolt up to a stock cat?

If it bolts up to the stock cat, it will bolt up to a 2.5" cat & our 3" cat. There's no reason to "convert" it to a 2" system, though you can use some reducers if you wish w/ extra welding & customizing, etc. A muffler shop can do basically all of this, depends on how much customization you want.

*EDIT: noticed you said cat-back exhaust, so removed some text. and guess stock is not 2.25" diameter.

does this have an O2 bung? do you know if it's same length as the cat for the 1995 Altima? (OBDI one cat style)?

Last time I checked, the cat is about 12" in length. For the Altima, you'd have to verify length and orientation of the flanges - we haven't had anyone try to put a 240 cat on an Altima yet.

No more group buy on the 3" - that was only introductory while we had a bunch. The 2.5" we are still working on getting in once we have time to secure some of those, but probably won't be any time soon. Other projects taking precedence right now (like the vert roll bar kit, which prototype is done, but just need to get up and a few more test fits).

Thanks for the inquiries!
