Anyone know which intercooler kit for an SR20DET or KA24DET would be of best value?

(I know the most expensive one is going to be the best :pface but there has to be some out there that perform well for their cost)

I have my eye on a greddy V spec kit

You should check out the HPI kit. I just ordered one and only heard good things about them. U dont have to buy an extra "hot" pipe, and they are supposedly a direct fit. check them out at http://www.srswap.com and they have all the info on them.

i know it sounds bad but if you dont want to spend alot you may want to look in a junkyard . a buddy of mine that deals with 87-90 rx7s runs volvo 740 turbo intercoolers , the things are massive from what ive heard .

im looking for a cheap stock 1993 DSM intercooler, will fit in the foglight hole of my G20 nicely after i get that pesky tow hook out . or maybe one of those 300zxtt units , we shall see what i find , i could get that off that 1992 ztt car i found totaled , while im grabbing suspesion bits and brakes for the G20 .....:icesangel

The best intercooler for the price is either on ebay or junk yard. look for the Mitsi Starion (aka Dodge or Chrylser Conquest) intercooler. As a matter of fact, Fmax, Greddy, Apex, and many others use the Starion intercoolers for their turbo kits for the 240sx. They fit the best and already greatly designed. Mine is a Daperformance intercooler and is the best i have seen and performs better than many i have seen, but isnt very cheap by any means. I saw mine on ebay that someone else was selling cause they wrecked their car. i got it for $375 with no piping. I emailed Da and they said that normal price was $600 without piping. Good luck on finding one.Oh ya, an alternative is the Audi 5000 intercooler because of its thickness and is usally cheaper than the Starion, but the end tanks should be replaced with a better fit but doesnt have to be.
