For all you intercooled ones, I have a 98' 240 and I just installed my SR. The problem is the damn intercooler hangs way out. What did you guys do, short of buying a new bumper?

As in the bumper is not fitting correctlly because of the intercooler? Could try trimming it, I had to trim my bumper a little on my 180 for it to fit correctly

many people cut their bumpers in roder for the big intercoolers to fit. it's just something you gotta do.

The 3"x12"x24" Hybrid intercooler I got was a tough fit on my Kouki. I drove around with it hanging kinda low for about three weeks. After the bottom mounting bolts kept on hitting the ground, I decided I had to do something about it.

I had already trimmed off the weld seam on the back of the bumper in order to get it to fit, but I couldn't get it any higher because it was running into the vertical support for the hood latch. So, I cut a piece out of that support and was able to raise the intercooler up 1-1/4". I used an air-powered 3" cutoff wheel to cut a "backward 7" shaped piece out of it, then smoothed and painted the expose edges. It looks perfect, and my intercooler doesn't bottom out any more.
