Intercooler size

Car: 1992 Nissan 240sx Black top

I was told by someone that my intercooler was way to big for my car (92 black top, basic mods) and would some how take some power away. The intercooler size is 24" X 12" X 3". I think its a bunch of BS but maybe im wrong. If anyone could shed some light on this that would be great. And yes I did search.

Yeah I had someone told me that with only 7psi my intercooler would take some power away too.

na!there feeding u some bull $hit ,the intercooler sounds fine i have the same setup but its a red top with alot of the same bolt ons

Im running 31x12x3 (although im not on a stock turbo). The thing is if you go to big on the intercooler with a stock turbo pushing stock boost it can hurt you a little due to turbo lag but if you up the boost a bit it shoulnt hurt it much at all.
