I've seen a couple of different FMIC setups and was wondering, on my sr20det with a T3/4 top mount with a pretty big FMIC (24"x4"x?), what is the best size piping for both the cold and hot side? I'm running 2.25" on both sides right now but I think i'm restricting. The 25G turbo has an outlet size of 2.5" and i just reduced it from there. I also am using a greddy intake plenum but don't think that really matters when it comes to intercooler piping size. It running over 400+ right now but if I upgrade the piping size, would I get more out of her?

All 2" on the Hotpipe side...And 2.75" or 3" for all the coldpipe seems to work best..The throttle body is 2.75"..So dont go any smaller then that for the coldpipe.

2.5" is good too...I'm using that right now.

Run 2" on the hot side, even if the turbo outlet is 2.5"? It would seem like that would cause a restriction, or does that pressurize it better?

I don't think it matters really. The stock T-25 oultet is about 1.75" and I have a peice of steel (that weird looking steel pipe that comes with most BOV's when you buy from Ebay) that has got to be about 1.5"-1.75". After that it's 2.5" all the way to throttle body. My only problem is Blowing off the small IC pipe. I f you want to eliminate this prob., just buy the Enjuku Racing hot-pipe w/BOV flange for $99.

Misread.....Stick with the same size as your outlet...but again I really doubt .5" is going to make that much differance....Maybe when you are trying sqeeuze every ounce of power out of your car.
