I ordered an sr20det intercooler set up, considering the piping is laid out the same way for the KA-T. Will i run into any problems with this?

Depends on your manifold/turbo.

Hmm i see, Its a bottom mount T28. I was more worried about the cold pipe though.

If I reemember correctly, there is just a little difference in the TB placement. So you may have to cut a little and/or buy an angled coupler. Nothing major.

I had to put a 4-6" pipe in between the lower and upper cold pipes.. the gap was way too big to fit a long coupler

I hate to say this but if something as minor as a slight modification to the cold pipe seems a little daunting, maybe installing a turbo isn't such a good idea.

Very true. Boosting is no where near a Bolt on affair...

Get a shop to weld your pipes correctly (intercooler, bov inlets and exhaust), oil bung and downpipe if needed. The rest is easy enough

No real welding needed on IC pipes, pipes and couplers will work, just take the chance of boost leaks.

I bought an ebay IC alum pipe kit and used for my hot pipe, just a hacksaw and sandpaper to cut the pipes to length and smooth the edges. I still have plenty left over in case of emergency, but may get someone to weld one up sometime.

I did alot of hacks and still had to pay someone to weld the bov pipe and intake-bov pipe.. Mine will get completely redone in the future..

I just bought a bov flange on a 2.5" pipe from ebay and put it in line with the IC piping on hot side with couplers (I'm running blow through).

What do you guys who used SR20 piping kits do for you IAC hose? And what is the extra hose that goes into the SR20 cold pipe right before the TB? can that be used for IAC? Its sort of facing the wrong way.

Pic? I used that for my IAC after bending it and the IAC pipe on the Intake Manifold

Now that I'm looking at it, I see that you'd use the smaller diameter bung on the cold pipe for the IAC, but then what do you do with that larger curved pipe that enters the cold pipe right before the TB? Just hack it off and patch the hole?

An S13-SR20 has the TB possition on pretty much the same spot as the KA24 as far as I know. I bought an S13 blitz intercooler kit for an SR and the cold side fit on S14 KA pretty good. On the hot side prepare to run some custom stuff unless its the SR-style manifold.
