I searched but didnt find out to much information. I just picked up an sr and it came with this intercooler setup. Am i missing any pieces? And i can use the stock intake arm still for my air filter right?

it looks like you have everything except a 3 couplers. (throttle and hotpipe to turbo)and of course clamps...

That hotpipe looks like something from the swing set on a playground.

Blitz FMIC are nice

Yeah, i am going to get rid of that hot pipe in the future. I just felt like i was missing the pipe that goes from the throttle body down.

based on what I can tell it looks like its supposed to be the one with the BOV if thats not it then you are missing a pipe

The pipe to the left of the intercooler is certainly incorrect. that would route into the passenger fender.

It appears the cold pipe is missing its lower half, and you're missing the ~110° sharp angle pipe that connects the cold pipe to the intercooler.

check this link.. http://www.courtesyparts.com/M...104-3

The cold pipe they sell is all 1 piece, and the smaller section is the 110° angle bend that you're definitely missing.

as far as your BOV is concerned, having it on the cold pipe is supposed to be better somehow, but you can only really get away with it if you're running MAP. If you're running pull-through MAF, you have to recirculate the BOV and it makes it much much easier to have the bov placed on the hot pipe in order to do so.

idk iv seen alot of s14's including mine on the cold pipe,s13's not so much always wondered that, also i am running a stock mafs and the bov is atmospheric...idles steady at 800rpm like a kitten. but yea it does look like your gonna come up short to the tb.

I was assuming since he said redtop that the rig was going in an s13... I don't think BOV placement depends on the car it's going in, though. I don't remember exactly what the benefit is supposed to be.. less chance of compressor surge during that fraction of a second while pressure changes and vacuum pulls open the valve? I dunno. You can recirculate with the bov on the cold pipe but then you need to run another radiator-hose-sized pipe back across the front of the engine and somehow attach it to your intake and make it all look nice.

also another note on running atmospheric.. If you run pull through MAF, the only way the motor will run 100% properly is with a recirculated setup, or no BOV at all. That is not something that is able to be disputed. Depending on the BOV you use and how tightly you have it set, and possibly some unconscious driving habits.. you may have less of a problem than others, but regardless, if you vent to atmosphere every time you lift your foot and hear your BOV purge your fuel injectors are still spraying an excessive amount of fuel to compensate for the reading that the MAF is sending to the ECU. My motor "idled rock steady" when vented to atmosphere too, but only after nearly stumbling to death from the momentary rich condition. and also power was flaky while cruising because the BOV floating open lets in unmetered air when your not boosting. as soon as i rigged up recirculation, the car was worlds better to drive.

The Piping looks correct. It does, however look like the cold pipe is backwards in the picture. Flip it around and you should be good.
