i found a intercooler one of nico sponsor sell it:

- Core Size: 20"x9"x2.5" (28" End to End Length) - Inlet/Outlet Size: 2.75" (2.5" Couplers OK) - 100% Tig Welded Aluminum Tube & Fin Design - Recommended for up to 400 hp- 2 Year Warranty

My final goal is 270-300 engine horse power. It will take 10-12 psi to reach my goal i think. Is the intercooler too big for my goal?

I am going to run a 24x6.5x3 SSAC. The welds are GREAT, as far as efficiency, they don't offer numbers. But I imagine they are in the 70-75% range, drop will be certainly less than 2PSI. Try theirs.

I'm looking at the same deal and I'm only going to 225HP with a T3 60 trim.

I just hope when they advertise low drop they are testing with cool air.

Wouldn't that be funny - "buy our intercooler because it doesn't do squat."

question why wouldn't you test with hot air. because testing with cold air should show a lot less of a pessure drop than it would have with the hot air off the turbo being cooled?

I think that is what he may have been getting at. For piping, I have a Hybrid Turbo SR FMIC 2.5 kit. I hope that it will work. Otherwise, I will sell it and get some mandrel bent pipe and some silicon connectors. Oh yeah, plenty of hairspray.

Great choice! I own the 8" johnny race car intercooler. They're more familiar with the honduh boys, but they've been proven to work well and for the price, you cant beat em.

i have the 8" black JRC FMIC and love it. I had the 5" basic FMIC from JRC as well and it was great. Can't beat the price either.

pics suck. I need to find someone who can doctor them, if not, I may just post, and see if people can turn up the brightness on their monitors.

If you have a volume of hot air at a certain pressure and you cool it down, you decrease pressure. So, testing with hot air should show a pressure drop perportional to the heat loss.

Testing with cold air won't lose pressure due to cooling so it would show if the IC is restrictive.

What the hell is Johnny race car?

Get whichever fmic blings the most.

Actually, unless you want more than 350hp or something, any fmic will work. Just get whichever is cheaper.

He said he bought them from ebay for 300 dollar.

I want a set too. I can't afford FN01r-C

17*8 +35 (17lbs) would be nice but too expensive...

(kosei k1 he has: 16*7.5 +22 15.5 lbs)

I thought kosei only carry silver and white color. (He painted his)

sorry to hijack Crv LOL

either FN01r-c or kosei.

I found a 17*8 no name brand wheel, but it's heavy (23 lbs)

100$ per wheel though. That'd be no problem if i make something like 400 hp. (bug obviously i don't LOL)

lol. good job with the hijack guys.

I got them from ebay for $300. They were originally white, so I painted them black. It seems to go well with the color scheme

he hijacked his own thread...im not stopping him

they do look good though, one of these days when the paint on mine wears out or something id like to paint them a little darker, like a gunmetal...the car actually looks really nice even if i dont clean off the brake dust so it helps when i dont get the chance to wash them
