Because my motorset didn't come with the smic. Sorry I didn't make that clear. I won't be raising the boost for a while, so I'm mainly worried about getting it done soon and tubing costs. Also, what should I expect to pay for a stock ic?CA19DET wrote:why not rock the stock side mount and save up for a GREDDY VSPL kit or something later on, you'll be de-bugging the engine/install for a couple weeks and it'll give you a lil time to save some cash and get accustomed to the new motor.
Sweet idea. Still have the old smic?rico05 wrote:Basically, you are going to make a water sprayer that splices in the stock windshield washer, so that when you pull the stock on the steering column, you spray water onto the intercooler. I ran this setup on a stock sidemount all through last summer here in Texas and it kept heat soak at bay quite well.

, how was I runnign garden hose.... It's the low pressure line to the PS pump. I know, I know I learned alot from that swap though, I know exactly what I need and how to do it this next time.dvd wrote:how are you running a gardening hose for your powersteering?
thats why you have them beaded you guys should see what i did last night, i had to take 3.5" Tbolt clamps and cut and reweld them backtogther to make them clamp on 2 3/4th pipes that was left over from my greddy FMIC kit. its kinda ghetto but its working.. invest in some Tbolt clamps they will hold the pipes togther, and at least run some JBweld around in a bead if you have nothing else to do it with.240 Trainee wrote:I made both an S13 Greddy kit and stock SR piping work BTW. It was haggard like no other, but it held air. sometimes. lol. It's not fun driving a car thats not running well, getting into boost getting on a freeway, and poping the rubber fitting off. lol. PITA Just find a CA sidemount and piping if you do thet, much better option.
