Can anyone point in the right direction to get prebent intercooler piping or does anyone have some for sale? This is for a t3 turbo and a spearco fmic. I also need a downpipe. I already posted in the classifieds and this is all I need to finish my setup. Thanks

If you have a hacksaw/chopsaw and a free weekend, you can make your own IC pipes. On a 240 it is especially easy. Use steel or aluminum (preferred) sections, and use some strips of cardboard to mock it up on the car. Connect them with silicone couplers and t-bolt clamps and you are good to go.

If you're on a budget, most better exhaust shops can fab you up a downpipe on the spot. It won't be all glitzy and mandrel-bent....but it will work just fine.

Agreed. I used some pre-bent pieces from Ebay and just fabbed up my own stuff. It's easy as pie.

i would recomend rolling a bead or running a weld around the end of each pipe (about 1/8 to 1/4 inch from each end) it would help prevent it from blowing of under boost.

what kind of boost are you talking

also its more likely if you are using regular hose clamps w/o rolling the bead

usually t-clamps will let you get away w/o having a bead. unless you pushing insane boost

My pipes don't have beads, and I'm using the cheap clamps.. never had a coupler blow off.

however, i have trouble removing my couplers because they're so sticky.. i'm not using silicone ones, it's rubber but silicone reinforced. Namely, it's cheap stuff..

I would just weld it. Save the points of failure at the throttle body, both end tanks and the turbo. It should be pretty easy to wiggle the welded pipe into place.
