I'm in the middle of intalling my IAP turbo kit and of course running into problems. I want to ask you fellow KA-Ter's how you ran your cold side (would be even better if you did it with the IAP kit). I'm installing my piping on my '92 S13. What route did you guys take for your cold side? It seems that there isn't enough room for my pipe to go all the way through and over enough to fit nicely. I could probably squeeze everything together but probably wouldn't have the best seals. If some of the frame and suspension member wasn't there...then it would fit perfectly...lol. Did any of you have to do any special fab to get a snug fit? Thanks for any comments.

i helped GEO put the IAP kit on his s14, should fit the same on the s13.

there is a long (about 1.5-2 foot) S shaped pipe that goes from the throttle body down the fan shroud and exits between the frame and TC bracket. there is then a pipe that goes from the IC to the long S shaped pipe.

do you already have the IC mounted? it will be better to leave it loose and connect the piping then secure the IC

get some pics if you can

Yeah, the "S" pipe is like shoved in there riding agaisnt the fan shroud and is barely sticking out on the bottom going between the frame and TC bracket. I have noticed that the frame lip is getting in the way. Maybe I should shave that. Also the fan shroud seems to be getting in the way. Also the IC is already mounted so that might help to loosen it, I might have to make new brackets. I'll try this out and try to get some pics tonight after work. Thanks for the replies

I am against all those crazy bends and curves.

I used a water intercooler, 4 45 degrees bends and a AEM intake for my setup.

As of know, I am researching for a front mount simple enought that I can:keep the battery in the stock locationMinimize the bendsBe simple and effective.

The car Adikt worked on was my car.....95 S14 SE and yeah we are workin with the IAP kit. The piping isnt as direct fit as I expected it to be. The way the piping is set up is you have 4 pipes. The S shaped is the cold pipe that goes from your throttle body down between the fan and the AC, then it connects to the U shaped pipe that fits into the intercooler (we mounted my intercooler in such a way that these pipes connected would reach it, but we had to trim a part a bit of metal that was in the way...... Adikt loves the sawzall.....) Then on the other side of the intercooler you run the pipe with the bov flange, and that connects to the pipe that has the wastegate nipple on it.... its sorta more straight but has a bend towards the end. This pipe we are having issues with since it doesn want to meet up with the bov pipe. So my 2 hot pipes are not long enough to reach each other. I ordered a 12" (length) intercooler coupler that I will cut and use to link the pipes to at least get the car to idle... then I might make some extra piping to fit between. If you play with a sawzall and intercooler placement you might get lucky with the pipes. Hope this helps... if you have any issues let me know, im working with the same kit.
