hello there, i am putting together my fmic and i'm not really sure which size to go with.

i've done some reading, and apparently the larger the piping diameter the more turbo lag you will experience. but with a smaller diameter you get more pressure drop. is this correct?

is there a noticeable difference between the two sizes? i'd like to have as much turbo response as possible, but i also don't want to get to small of a size and have to redo the piping down the road.

any insight is greatly appreciated, and thanks for your time.

Seriously though. I would choose 2.5" or 2.75".

I have 2.25 but will do 2.5 when I redo it.

I've got 2.5" from the turbo to the IC, and 3" from the IC to my Q45 TB. BOV is mounted on the cold pipe about 5" from the TB.

Minimize your use of size transition couplers and it should save you a few pennies as well.

I've got 3" hot side and 4" cold side.

I would go with something around 2.5"-3" if I were you. I did a turbo B18 Civic a little bit back and that was 2.5" hot side and 3" cold side with a T3/T4 turbo and it had great response.
