Hey I was thinking about instead of fussing around with metal pipes why not just use all purosil Hose? Of course I would have an insert pipe for the blowoff valve and of course have the hot Ic pipe coming off of the turbo. I think it would be neat look and unique. I was thinking it may make the air hotter but Thinking about it I don't really see the difference. When metal gets hot it stays hot unless cooled by air, the purosil hose wouldn't do that but i don't imagine the pipes cool the air much. I know the intercooler is responsible for coolong. Reason i'm asking is cause I can get the hose in like a yard length.

Looks like regular nylon reinforced silicone hose. Never heard of purosil. As long as it doesn't swell under boost, then it should not be a problem to use. But if it is Silicone, chances are you will need elboys and such. And most elbows use sharp bends. May not be the smoothest flow overall, but can probably do the job. It wouldn't be my first choice though. Probably not my second either.

I agree with C-kwik. A friedn of mine tried something similar and he had a very hard time with unstable boost. This silicone hose reacts to outside temperature changes as well....soft in the summer, hard in the winter, etc. I would stick with aluminum tubing personally, but hey, its good to see people are always trying and thinking about trying new things!

get alluminum piping done by a good muffler shop if you need to, it'll be fairly cost-effective. then you can just use silicone hose connections for when you have piping gaps from different sections being bent.chet

I made my pipe kit for a few hundred bucks with nothing more than a bunch of Summit Racing mandrel bends.

I used PVC for over a year with good results. PVC doesn;t heat transfer like metal either. I would use that before I used silicone. Pretty cheap as well...

Another guy I know fabbed his own IC piping from Summit also, came out fairly nice.
