I plan on keeping my stock plenum, so I am in need of a piping kit for a FMIC that works with the stock setup. It looks like night7racing has one but they haven't responded yet, and I wanted to get some feedback on what people are using. Any suggestions would be apreciated. vendor websites etc..I have an RB25DET in my S13 (mckinney mounts).

A total custom job(including FMIC) is going to cost $1000 at a local shop.

I would prefer to just get a piping kit, and install it myself.

i dont know of anyone else offering a kit for the swap, but they haven't answered you so that should tell you something.

i think you could get an fmic and custom piping for cheaper than 1000$ but i haven't gotten prices for my setup yet...

i think your gonna have to get it custom made or get it from Night... i'd go custom

Hmmm what I was planning on doing was buying a bunch of bends and straight pieces for cheap, cut and tape together accordingly. Then take the taped pieces to have welded... I figure if you do it this way piping would be around $200-$250. And then choose whatever core you want

if you've seen pics of mine, i took "U" bends and 3 feet of silicone hose. and wherever i needed welds, i used a silicone couplings.

I used Powerdigger's Hybrid Monster Intercooler with their Skyline piping kit. The piping worked very well on my 240. The only problem with the kit is you'll have to make some simple custom brackets to mount the intercooler to the chassis, since the supplied brackets for the R32/33 don't line up quite right.

The kit was actually made for an R33 RB25, but it worked fine with my RB20. Pictures are here:

I believe the whole intercooler + piping was around $650 or so. Not a bad price for a very high quality product. Their website is http://www.powerdigger.com, although it appears to be down right now.

Hmm...what manifold? If you're talking about the intake manifold in the pictures then yes I still have it. But that's just a stock intake manifold :D

As far as the price of the kit goes...I got that one off ebay for about $650. But I believe on their online store they sell them for about the same (but it shows up as AU dollars so at first it looks higher).

Hmm either I'm totally senile or you've got me confused with someone else. Was it an RB20 exhaust mani you're wanting? If so the only one I have is the one that's on my engine ;)

ebay price conversion on that hybrid kit from austalia is $650 US. I bet import fees and shipping will probably add a bunch, but at least I know what I am looking for now. Thanks again!

I believe the powerdigger kit is the same one that NSR offers.

It is the one and the same. I had forgotten that Cameron offered the core + the piping. His is more expensive, but if you can save on shipping charges it could come out about the same.

I had a good experience with ddx. got what I asked for, when I asked for it. Tracking numbers, good comunication. etc..I don't know anyone else that has bought from them personally, but I see that some people on this forum have.

Do you have compression test results? how many miles did you get?

"500 Dollar retainer is SUBTRACTED from total purchase price"

Whats the deal with that? So the prices they post are 500$ more than the actual price for the clips?

I know he's been really busy unloading his two new containers this week. That may help explain the delay.

The compression results were written on the motor when I got it, but he had emailed me the results. I think it was 150 accross all 6.

I got a motor set, not a clip, so I honestly don't know how many miles, but I think it had about 40-60 thousand miles.

the 500 is subtracted from the total. So basically if a motor set was 3000 (example) then you would give them 500 down (the retainer) and then you would owe 2500.

Email or call them. He responded to all my emails, and called me to make sure everything was going alright at least 3 or 4 times.

Sounds good. Im looking forward to getting replies from them today. I will definitely call him and see what's up. comp tests sounds really good! Was the external condition good? Im pretty sure the internals are good with 150 across. Sounds like they have excellent customer service and shipping. I hope I have the same experience with them:D

I only had one thing that got damaged during shipment, my oil dipstick handle was broken. I just flattened the one from the 240, and made marks to match the RB. other than that it was in good shape.
