i have the fmic thing from ebay for the ka24det. anyone else have this?? my question is where should i make the hole for the cold pipe that goes to the throttle body? i dont know if i have to cut through the battery tray, or if i can just get by by cutting a hole through part of the car thats right next to the windshield fluid resovoir.

it all depends on what kit you bought, if you bought the xo2 racing intercooler and piping kit, then go to greddy's website and download the manual, they dont charge for it and you do not have to sign in. there are no holes to drill with this kit, it fits passed the battery just fine, there is a removeable cover on the drivers side for the pipe to fit through. the fitment is a little weird as it is a generic copy. if you bought a different kit, then disregaurd this post.

Normaly you have to cut through the battery tray. Just line up your coldpipe with the throttle body and see where the pipe wants to go, cut a hole there and your good.

Well, the problem is is that you bought a prefabed intercooler piping. While its nice, its not gona give you any flexibility on where it can be run. I mean its gona line up to your throttle body, and only go one way to reach the intercooler.

i bought just the piping kit from "fatboy garage" or "advan racing" for the ka24de s-14. they do not have an auction but they do have a contact seller option in the auction, i asked if they would sell just the piping/boots, i payed $170.00 shipped and no holes had to be cut. heres a link,

i think i have it figured out. im gonna run the bov pipe that it came with right at the throttle body. its supposed to be in between the 90 degree pipe that attatches to the intercooler and the cold pipe that runs to the throttle body. i bought a silicone elbow that i think will make it work. im using an integra battery so yeah.

I bought the ebay headlights and dropped mine behind the passenger headlight, but that is really more of a custom deal than you are looking for, I am sure. But it saved bends, which should presumably put me in boost a little sooner.

hey, check out google images-i've seen some setups that have the cold pipe under the radiator and some that go through the battery tray with the battery turned with the posts from front to back. I'm running my cold pipe through the battery tray and thought it was a good time to relocate my batt. to my trunk. good luck!josh
