Now that I've actually ordered my CA, I'm trying to get parts together, like the intercooler piping and all the maintenance-type parts.

1) I plan on making my own intercooler piping on a NPR intercooler, since I have access to a welder and a decent amount of welding experience from my job. JC Whitney sells all the bends I think I'd need in either aluminized steel or 304 stainless steel. Since I don't have access to a CA to take measurements, what bends will I need? I have a basic idea, but without the engine in front of me, it's hard to know how it will all fit. Who sells quality rubber or silicone fittings/sleeves w/ clamps for a reasonable price?

2) I think I already know the answer to this, but I'm asking just to make sure. Will the gaskets, bearings, belts, hoses, water pump and such from the usdm Ca18 pulsar fit the rwd ca18det? I plan to change: head gasket, valve cover gasket, water pump, timing belt, main bearings, accessory belts, rad hoses, and conn rod bearings as soon as I get it. That's just off the top of my head...please let me know of anything else I need to change.

Thanks

1)Prob can't be answered until you have the motor in the car and are ready to do the intercooler piping.

2)Mostly yes, but partly no. I wouldn't use the headgasket. it was designed for a NA car and I don't know how well it would handle boost. If you are wanting to change the head gasket, order one online from HERE. They are the only place I've really found that seems to have a lot of aftermarket support for the CA. But it's also a japan based company. I've heard that it can take a while to get stuff from them. Try email Dauntless at Afterdark and see what he can get for you.
