For any of you running a greddy fmic setup, which i believe is a lot, you might experience the intercooler piping on the driver side popping off under high boost like around a bar. it might be alright on a stock sr but once you upgrade anything and run over a bar of boost it might not stay on securely and boost won't be stable. Most people just get a new silicone reducer hose and T bolt clamps. But if you want a quick fix, just clean out any oil sludge you have if you're not running an oil catch tank and wipe everything clean with say "simple green" solution. Then take hair spray and spray it on the inside of the silicone hose and the pipe - put it together and tighten. I was running it the other night and it won't come out even at 1.24 bar. So if you're just running a stock sr and that pipe keeps coming out at high boost, just clean it up and apply the hair spray and it should hold pretty good.

People probably heard of this already but i figured i'd mention it to the people who haven't

Never had a problem with a greddy vspl at 14 psi on an HKS GTRS.

im gonna try the hairspray trick on my pipes. every so often ill get a pipe to pop off but its usually from me just being dumb and not tightening the T bolt clamp tight enough. lately ive been good to 21psi.

even if my pipe comes out like half an inch even though the thing is in a whole 1 inch or so, it doesn't hold boost past 1 bar. So that hairspray thing makes its stick pretty good, hasn't moved a bit and it was pushing it to 18lbs. last night.

you can either have lips welded on the pipes or use a tool to make a lip on the end of the pipe so the T Bolts have something to grab.

i second the bead being rolled into the intercooler piping. ive seen some homemade tools made from vice grips to create a bead. just get creative
