Oh, I understand that, and I fully understand why you did it. I just have such a hard time with it for some reason :)

right but then you're buying a 4oo-5oo hood and custom piping as well, ive sen it done on an RX7 in i believe it was SCC and they said it was a BIOTCH

1. i heard that if you go to trim that gutter stuff, be EXTREMELY carefully. It gets insanely sharp and a couple of my friends cut themselves on it(keep in mind they are idiots)2. I have no grille, rocks really don't do anything to your intercooler. I don't think i have a single spot on my intercooler from a rock hitting it. Bent fins from hitting a cone at a drift event on the other hand.....this leads me to 33. If you have a mesh thing, this entire 'shield' will press against your entire intercooler if you hit something like a cone probly resulting in tons of half bent fins

Painting black is the best for stealth...it hurts cooling efficiency only a minimal amount from what i hear.

yah, but cutting a hole in a stock hood costs.... nothingcore: $350rediculously short custom IC pipin: What like $100 max?little brackets and doodads to angle the radiator: $50Remote resivior for the radiator: $50

Thats still cheaper than a frontmount kit, although it requires alot more work.

Perhaps not if its affixed sturdily enough, it also might distribute the impact enough not to do much damage. Or, you could just not hit cones :-D for my 99% street driven car, I think a grill would be best. We'll see once I mount the new IC, it'll sit a bit differently than the old one so I might be forced to change my mind.

you can always mount the IC behind the radiator... ive seen it done somewhere, although you need a new radiator (a damn thin one) to go in front, and that reduces the IC piping by a whole lot, giving better response... or you could always sorta relocate thestock radiator just a bit forward past the front supports, but im not 100% on how you'd go about doing that, either way, its stealth, and better response, but possibly at the cost of a bit of cooling efficiency
