Is this intecooler to large for the CA with an s15 t28? The car will be tracked regularly, and alot of that time will be in the hottest months of the summer.

that endtank design will allow me the shortest IC pipting without going V-mount.

There are a lot of factors to properly choosing an I/C. Engine displacement being just one.

Air to air intercoolers with good piping should be over 80% To calculate intercooler efficiency,

E = T1 - T2 / T1 - TA

Where E is the efficiency in percentages, T1 is the compressor outlet temperature, T2 is the intercooler outlet temperature, and TA is the ambient temperature. Assuming T1 = 250 degrees, T2 = 100 degrees, and it's a 70 degree day,

E = 250 - 100 / 250 - 70= 83.3%

There are resources on the web to give you a lot of info, if you're so inclined

well because I dont have any data on compressor outlet and intercooler outlet temperatures, I dont have any numbers to plug into that equation. The last intercooler I purchased from TRUST japan for this silvia/180sx had core dimensions of 16x11x4.

Greg You can get all that data, do a little research. What are you wanting to accomplish with this car? You mentioned a lot of track time, well you better try and find the optimum efficiency range if you plan on a: being competitive, b: winning. Turbocharger data such as efficiency, surge psi and the like is available from the manufacturer Intercooler data is available in that regard as well. Spearco has VE tables for most of their popular I/C cores It's all going to depend on what you want to put forth as far as effort into designing your cars I/C system.
