whould it be ok to get paint off of an intercooler by soaking it in paint thinner. im not sure if it will affect the aluminum. anyone know if it is ok to do this. i have a stock audi front mount i want to clean.

Paint thinner doesn't work that well for removing cured paint. Try an actual paint remover. They sell it in hardware stores. It should say if there are any materials it is not safe to use on. I doubt it would be a problem with most metals though. And be careful with the stuff. A little on your skin will burn like hell.

oooo yea it will, i used Pro Stripper in a spray can from lowes on a couple things. first to remove the glue my tint left behind, to remove NSPORT from my front mount, also a few other things. that stuff srayed on my arm and a lil on my face a couple times it felt like i was getting poked with a thousand needles.
