Dear All

some questions. maybe not so good one but pleaese enlighten me.

can intercooler be use as radiator or oil cooler?

i saw the HKS 180 drag in Thailand and the radiator looks like a intercooler. the fin looks 100% the same as radiator.

however, i believe each item like intercooler is design for it purpose. and radiator design for it purpose.

whatever, please help to answer

thank you.

Im not sure why youd use an intercooler as a radiator or an oil cooler?

I mean they all use the same idea, which is a air to fluid heat transfer, regardless of if its compressed air, oil, coolant, or whatever....

I would think that an intercooler would hold a TON of liquid and you wouldnt want to use it like that....

I would think an intercooler would flow too fast for liquid since they are designed to flow large volumes of air at a pretty high rate.

There are also intercoolers that also have liquid flowing though them to help cool the air. Is this what you might have been seeing?

reason is i have to do a custom radiator while there is an intercooler that fits the size nicely.

ya, i think perhaps the flow rate is too fast. and the liquid won't have enough time to cool down.

thanks.
