Interchangeable Transmission

I was wondering if anyone out there could tell me a Transmission that will Interchange with my 96' Infinity J30. I have tried to find out on here but apparently I dont know where to look.

There isn't an aftermarket transmission unless you got to performance transmission unit like Level 10.

Your choices are

(1.)rebuilt(2.) OEM Nissan remanufactured unit

The automatics on the 300zx from he same era are a similiar unit, however the some of the electronics are meant to power a lighter car (the j30 heavy compared to a 300zx).

when my transmission mechanic was looking at my transmission he said it looked like i had the same transmission as a pathfinder ( which is nissan of course ) I figured a pathfinder transmission might work because i believe it to be heavier than the j?
