hey guys, i was wondering what was all interchangeable between the RB's?? specificly the RB20 and the RB20?? my buddy has an RB26 (the first running RB26 swap in the us i believe now rip ) and he has a few extra parts and i was wondering what i could snatch up form him?? i do know he has an extra set of piston rings which i might need (still gotta do a leakdown test to see where its leaking at) but there brand new, when he ordered some for his 26 they ordered and charged him for 2 different sets and he is willing to give me the extras so yeah.....would also like to know what else i can take from him to though

Rings wont work cause the 20 and 26 have different bores. You could use the injectors

injector, be sure to get the dropping resistor too, the impedance is different

You could use the manifolds and turbos but two of the ports have different flages, you could have an adaptor made, the port locations are the same.

Different bores, can't use the pistons or rings but you could use the 26 crank to make a stroker 20.

flywheel an clutch will work.

I was under the impression that the rb20/rb25's were side feed, the rb26 was top feed?

yes you need the flywheel as well, it will bolt up.You need more than the crank, you will need pistons as well, 4AGZE Toyota ones if memory serves, it comes out to like 2.2 or 2.3.

How about exhaust manifolds...I saw a post about putting the stock twins on the RB25. How about going the other way? I have an HKS manifold for the RB25 and have an RB26 motor on it's way. I don't want to use the stock turbos since they tend to come apart.
