Interchangable Grille on I35/Maxima?

I've been comparing pictures and I'm wondering if the center grille on an 02 I35 and the comparable Maxima are identical. (Maxima's have those nice billet grilles and I'd like one on my Infiniti if they'll fit.)

You'd have to measure it, but I don't think it quite does...

I think the Maxima grill is taller.

Thats what I was thinking. I was looking at one of the billet grilles on ebay and it only had two screws that bolted it to the front end of the hood, so Im wondering if I could cut off one or more of the bottom grille lines to make it fit right. The only problem is that I don't want to spend $60 and end up messing up a perfectly good grille.
