I was gonna go all out, get twins etc. but having had a heavy modded car that i used as a daily driver before, i'm going to just keep things simple with my Z....

as such i'm staying NA and just doing some minimal styling... i have a list of things i want to do, have answers to what i want to some but would like info on any of the following... i'm after quality parts not "bhp for buck" gear as it is my daily driver so want reliability but with a bit more punch....

Going to mod the following:

Cold air intake - thinking injen... also been reading a few things on plennum spacer - whats the deal with the spacer? also will i have to get a modded strut brace with the injen?Wheels - Volk Racing TE37 time attack versions (black with red stripe round rim) 19" back 18" front

Exhaust - i have the nismo cat back atm but would like to upgrade the manifold and pipes... any suggestions?

Intake manifold/injectors/port polishing/cams - not sure yet - anyone done NA tuning on the top end.

bottom end is staying standard for now - only modding this if i do decide on twins

Brakes & suspension - bigger brakes and slightly lowered (not a lot though) but want to replace the sway bars (as i did this on my MR2 and it made the world of difference.... made the back end less twitchy under cornering and applying power)

Thats my list atm... will do some visual stuff but thats more my personal preference etc. just like shark fin antenna and things...

I would like to keep my options for twins open so that if i suddenly decide to go for it i don't have to go and change ALL that i've done on the NA side... i understand i won't be able to re-use everything but keeping the exhaust side and maybe some of the top end engine stuff like cams would be nice...

All advice appreciated - first Z (but most likely not my last ) and wanna take it slow and get to know the car/engine before i go nuts - i love the drive in it right now but know i'll be craving some more power before long...

Far as the plenum spacer goes, I heard you can just get the newer Z's lower intake manifold, and it'll be better than just slapping on a spacer.

rods and pistons go for about $2000-3000

tuning with a decent managment system shouldn't cost more than a couple of hours on the dyno so maybe $300

Thanks for the replies all

I'm aware of the costs involved etc.

I'm probably going to use JE Import Performance here in Baltimore. I've been passed their details by people on the boards and my initial impression is good. Going to see if i can come up with a staged tuning from the ground up.... the last thing i'll do is the twins... start with handling etc so that when the twins are born its not too much for the frame to handle...

So i've basically decided on twins but not to do it all at once XD
