Pushing and holding the unlock button on the key fob causes the front windows to roll down. I find this happening accidentally and unseen when I have the fob in my jeans pocket. So far it has only happened in the garage but I'm concerned that it could happen with the vehicle on the street or in inclement weather. Is there any way to disable this feature? (2007 Murano SL)

I believe the dealer can disable that feature, but I believe that is the only way that can be done. Let me know what you find out.

If it happens by itself it could be the driverside door latch switch. I have seen this happen on other new nissans. Customer finds both windows down, and didnt touch the remote.

I'm a new 07 owner and today found my two front windows down. Unfortunately, it has been raining all nite/day and the interior was soaked. You mentioned this happening before due to the driverside door latch switch? How does it cause it and what can be done to resolve it?

Thanks!!

We have just been replacing the door latch. Sometimes there is corrosion in the connector and it shorts to terminals together. Take it to the dealership, they will replace it for you for free.

OH, just remembered... I just recently got my front windows tinted... Any chance that this might be the cause of the corrosion in the connector or is this just a known issue...?

Its a known issue. I personally havent seen it on the Muranos but I have seen the Titans and Pathfinders with the same problem.
