Just took the car in to Desert Infiniti here in Vegas because the door button and the remote are acting up. They're working it Monday because they can't figure out what's wrong.

I push the button on the door twice. 1st push unlocks driver door. 2nd push makes the car scream at me something is wrong. I resort to opening the door and unlocking the rest of the doors with the door interior button.

I get out of the car, close all doors. Use the remote lock button. Nothing happens. Hit it again, door actuators make noise but don't lock. I do this over and over again. The remote won't lock the doors. I push the door button, doors lock. Remote battery was changed already. I get no green key light on the dash saying battery is low. Ignition is completely rotated to the off position.

They speculated the controller in the passenger door is faulty but they have to troubleshoot first. Lucky me there's still warranty on my car. Anyone got ideas?

no! If it was haunted, it woulda been posted on Halloween! Sounds like they need to fix the malfunction with the electronics. Something went outta spec, with the RF signal.

Haunted, no. Lost its mind, possible

Is the control box for the i-key located by the ECM in the kickpanel/glovebox area or in the passenger front door?

Turns out aftermarket alarms are crap when installed improperly. Apparently the previous owner installed some sort of aftermarket alarm that was improperly spliced into the main harness. The dealership found the issue, however, since it was an aftermarket problem, it cost me $250 to fix. The bright side is the harness is covered under my warranty again since the dealership fixed it.
