I have a 2007 SL on order with the touring package which inludes the intelligent key. Since I don't yet have the car, I cant experiment. Sooooo, this question:

I know from reading the owners manual on-line the intelligent key allows two settings for two different drivers covering seat, pedals and outside mirrors.

But, can there be two unlocking "schemes"? Example: I want my key to allow all 4 doors to unlock when I one-press the door button. But, for safety purposes, I want my wifes key to only unlock the drivers door.

I know it's picky - wanting to accomplish with one push what can be done with two. But.... when you're sitting here with another month and a half to go before I actually see my new beauty, you get antsy with silly questions like this

Thanks for your response

I do not know about the 2007 but my 2005 SL with intellegent key in my pocket requires one push on the black button on the door handle to unlock only the drivers door, two pushes to unlock all doors. If you have the intellegent key fob in your had one push on the open button opens only driver door, two pushes opens all doors.

Upon getting out one push on the black button on the door locks all doors or one push on the key fob does the same.
