Hi all!
I have an ‘11 Rogue SL that’s been pretty good to me outside of many wearable parts going out much sooner than they should. I installed an idatastart remote start last year with a T-harness that only had me splice two wires outside of the parking lights. These two wires were the key-sense wire in the steering column and the intelli-key wire behind the power mirror control on the dash. I was able to solder into the key-sense wire without having to cut, but for the intelli-key connection I was required to cut and connect each side to a wire on the harness so the signal flows through the module. For these connections I used twist-it connectors because space was limited and I had some laying around. I know that I wired the thing up right. The issue that I’m having is that the car will randomly not recognize my key fob maybe 5% of the time (I-key error showing up on the dash). This happens with or without using the remote start.
I was hoping someone who knows the electronics of these cars would be able to let me know if this sounds like an issue with me not soldering my intelli-key connections or likely completely unrelated to wiring and potentially an issue with the car itself or the remote start module.
Here is the wiring diagram for reference (see pg 3):

I know it’s a long shot but worth a try here.
Thanks!
