I'm thinking the best option is to get the Intelligent Key and just deal with having to take out my "upgraded" radio...oh yeah and I will have extra buttons on my steering wheel that have no purpose since my blue tooth will be connected through the Nav system.
You may be able to retain use the steering wheel pushbuttons. Many curent Nissan's and Infiniti's can be retrofitted using a variety of aftermaket systems. They have applications for the most current Nissan's and I assume the Rogue would be no different. Note: not all headunits are supported.

Changing the headunit should be fairly easy as it appears to be a standalone unit. The only difficulty is the factory unit is not a standard double DIN and you will need a bezel/trim piece to fill the gap between the unit and the curved dash. Aftermarket suppliers may take a few months before something is offered, otherwise a good installer could possibly fabricate something.
As for intelligent key/keyless start systems, I have not seen any aftermarket systems and quite honestly I don't know if it's even possible. I would stick with Nissan's intelligent key.
