Intelligent Key Question/ FCC# for I-key for Versa/Tiida

I own a 2006 Nissan Tiida (JDM) which is equpped with the smart key feature. I saw in the forum that the Nissan Versa in the U.S. are euipped with the intelligent (smart) key feature also

Unfortunately, I only received the mechanical transponder key and did not receive an intelligent key with the car. I was trying to source the intelligent key and the an uncut mechanical key which accompanys the remote and fits neaty inside the remote on ebay. However I am not sure what is the FCC# of the intelligent key remote that is compatible with the Nissan Versa. ( the vendor requested the FCC# in order to ensure i get the correct remote). My thought is that the same Smart key that is used for the versa can be used with my Tiida.

I checked with a local dealer and they are cluless as to what a FCC# is and from conversations with one of the sales reps they only supply the remote for keyless entry. Could anyone tell me what is the FCC# on the back of the remote so that I can purchase the correct remote? Also is there a way to code the remote or the transponder key which accompanies it without the Consult III? (since the dealer is clueless)

The only way to do it is to have access to CONSULT III. No CONSULT III, no programming.

FCC#CWTWBU729 for the ikey on my US versa. Someone's selling one on ebay here... not sure how helpful that's really going to be, though, as even if that's the right device for your car, you'll still need to get the whole thing programmed to work with your system.

Does this FCC# for the remote apply to the hatchback Tiida (Versa) or is it for the sedan? is the remote a 3-button or 4- button? as the user manual displays a 3-button remote (just making sure i buy the right thing ).

I have the same number as listed above and it is for the Hatchback and is 3 button.
