intelligent key light on will not turn off engine

HI everyone,

I have Altima 2008 2.5sl intelligent key light on,but will not turn off engine.the car will continue runing even when i push the buttom to turn off car.the light of the dash bord will turn off for 2 sec but it will come back on.

i can start the car but i cant turn off the car....

lol funny thing is that this just happened to me last night. that just means the battery from the smart key is dead. and from the car being on well....i just pushed it like 5 times fast and it turned off

So you just replaced the battery and it worked fine...that's cracy becuse it would turn on but nor turn off..wow fking battery, i would try it then let you know if works.

Actually, this is a warranty issue. You shold be able to shut the motor off with one push of the button even with NO ikey in the car.

really? that never crossed my mind. well my key light has been on for like 6 months now but i never switched the battery from it so when i had switched it, everything got back to normal
