That was quick. Tonight, I got a warning after starting her up. Headed over to Wal-Mart and a couple of Energizer batteries. They had Panasonic 2032 3V Lithium.

DO NOT try to separate/open them up with your nails. Your keys will work fine, simple twist.

it will not charge it, it just recognizes the key so you can push the start button.

There's something wrong here, I replaced both and I'm getting a Low Battery indicator again!

My dealer said that Fob Slot is just for when the Security can't sense the Intelligent Key.

Same thing happened this morning to my son's 2008 Altima Coupe. I went to get the spare key, which was used maybe twice in 6 months and symbol on the dash is showing a low battery on that one

In an attempt to find the root cause of the problem, I bought a brand new battery for my key.

While testing, I made sure that only one battery was in range of the car. I replaced one of the key batteries and walked over to the car to test. Light came on.

Still confused, I returned to replace the other keys' battery - still making sure no two keys were in range. This test failed too!

All I can think of is that the car warning needs to be switched off by the dealer... My key battery is 100% full. Anyone else have any ideas or hope? Having the light on is so annoying!

I have a question about the keyfob battery indicator light. When the indicator light comes on, the black shaded portion of the battery drawing is 2/3 and the non-shaded portion is 1/3. I perceive this as still being 2/3 full. My brother says it looks like it is only 1/3 full, 2/3 empty. Which is it? I have approx. 17000 miles on the car, and always use the same keyfob.
