So I just moved to Oregon and had Isabelle (03 m45- pearl white) shipped. She arrived safely. However, the next day when I washed it, I realized it was now missing the snap on black grill that is part of the lower facia in front of the cruise sensor.

Not sure if it is cooincidence or what, but now my cruise is not functioning properly and I am getting the annoying "BEEEEEEEP" when I try to use cruise. It is coupled with the annoying Infiniti pop up message too.

Any ideas on fixing this myself...where to start? What should I look for?

Also, does anybody have an ICC sensor cover? WHere can I get one for cheap? it just a useless plastic piece but I want it back.

You can run the cruise control with ICC disabled for now (instructions are in the Owner's Manual).

Replacement cover is probably best ordered from http://www.everythinginfiniti.com ... ask for Joe Tsensky.

I know its annoying when people do not understand simple things on this forum...but I looked through the manual- did not see ANYthing about disabling the ICC??????

Are you sure? Can you just explain or give me a page number?

Sorry to be a bother.

Just press and hold the Cruise Control On/Off switch for longer than 1.5 seconds. Will disable the ICC.

I have to admit that I could not find it in the 2003 Owner's manual either ... it is in the 2004 Owner's Manual on page 5-16. Look at the diagram in the upper right corner. So, I hope this instruction above works for your model year!

The PDF files for all the Owner's Manuals can be found at http://www.infiniti-techinfo.com ...

Ah, dang!

Sorry about the misinformation then!

I wonder if the dealer can flash new code (from the 2004 model year) in there to provide this functionality though ...

Do all of us who use Valentine One radar detectors a favor by covering your laser cruise sensor with black electrical tape!

Interesting. Never thought of that. Maybe this on some of the oncoming traffic causes some of the false alerts when there is seemingly no cops around.

THe grill piece I was missing was found! It was in the truck and fell off during shipping.

I am hoping that for lack of any other explanation, this piece will solve the malfunction in the sytem. Probably not, but maybe it needs to be infront of that sensor for some reason.

Well glad to say the cover is back on; however, the success stops there. the ICC still malfunctions.
