Is this feature worth having? How well does it work?
Thanks!

I have had this feature on my last three vehicles (2 of which are Infiniti). The feature works exactly as you would imagine. I sets the speed you choose, and monitors vehicles in front of you - keeping the distance you have set between you and them. Is it worth having? That's a matter of personal preference. I don't like the fact that IF the system needs to slow you to maintain the set distance, your brake lights go on to alert the driver behind you that you are slowing down. I don't like to see brake lights in front of me whilst driving at 80 mph on a motorway. However, this is the ONLY safe way for a system like this to function.
Also, if the motorway is curving to your left, the system still looks directly ahead so if there is a truck in the lane to your right, it will see that as a vehicle in front of you and it can slow you even if your actual driving lane is clear. No way to avoid that either.

I have had this feature on my last 3 Infiniti. As you know it is usually only on an advance tech pkg and that makes it hard to find when buying used during some years . I have found this to be a very valuable tool for long distance driving and have decided to buy this each of the last 3 vehicles .

sorry ,how well does it work ? During everyday highway driving it is terrific , occasionally when driving into a low sun it will stop working or heavy rain or snow . When the front sensor is blocked it gives you a warning and the normal cruise control is available. I can imaging if your car is in a front end collision this sensor could get wrecked and it might be difficult or expensive to replace properly I am sure it must be lined up very well.
