Hi Guys,

Just wanted to share some info. My lovely wife recently lost her Intellikey remote for my Rogue leaving us with just one. So I called Nissan to which they stated a replacement would be $120 + $60 programming fee.....Are you kidding me.

So I browsed ebay and was able to pick one up for $60, which was obviously a bargain. Please dont take this as spam, just sharing a good deal. Hopefully you guys wont need to replace a remote.

Have a great weekend

I consider myself very technical but I copped out and paid the 60 bucks to have it programmed. Last thing I wanted to do was screw up both remotes and have the car towed to the shop.

Interestingly enough the shop guy told me the key can be cut anywhere

That's true most of the time with dual technology keys. The metal bitting can be cut by anyone skilled with a machine. Then, it takes either a long, stupid series of steps, or a tool be connected to the vehicle to program the security feature.
