Integra LS wants to

one of my friends has a silver integra LS(94+,not sure about the exact year), real nice car, and wants to run against my s13 , i said i would race him but he wants to bet money and i dont have money to lose so i was wondering does anybody have experience with both cars or know who would win, ive dont some research and have come up with the s13 having 154/155 horsepower stock, and the Ls integra having 140 h/p stock, so it seems like i should be able to beat him but, just because i have more h/p doesnt mean i will beat him( i know for a fact from personal experience), thats why im asking does anyone know for sure, also, if the s13 CAN beat the LS, could it beat the gsr(170h/p stock) model integra , this is all considering the cars all stock and on an 1/4 or 1/8 mile dragstrips.feel free to take a guess but im kind of aiming this at someone whos maybe had an integra and a 240 and someone who knows the speeds of both cars, but any info would be helpful.

You have any mods on your car? does he? Stock for stock, i think a well driven 240 would win. More torque, and a lighter car. I've beat my share of integras, but I have a few mods.

I've beaten midly modded LS's when my car was stock. Depends on what he has and how good of a driver the kid is. You will not win against a GS-R.

My friend has a LS hatchbak, it rips me, it rips GS-Rs, Preludes, and 3-series (non-M3). It sure isn't a "gutless" motor.

Is your car auto or manual, and his? I’m a previous Integra owner my self, I used to own a 91 gs with only an intake, 5speed, and I raced a couple of others Integra ls 94+, and smoked the crap out them, I also raced my friends 91 240sx 5speed, and beat him too, but his car was in bad condition, so I don’t know who would win now, I also raced my other friend who has a 95 240sx with an exhaust, I pulled on him through first, and second gear, but once he hit 3rd gear he would pull like 2 cars on me. But I think you should be able to beat him, his car is non-vtec, so I’m pretty sure you’ll pull about 2 cars on him all the way to 80mph, but that all depends on the driver!!

my friend has a '96 'teg auto. has CAI. my car '95, see mods and w/e below. i rode in his car, and it didn't feel as fast as my 240. we'll see who's faster one of these days if he ever gets his stupid license.

the main big thing thats diff. between our cars as far as being stock, is unfortunatley, that my car is an automatic and his is a 5-speed, that is why im possibly getting another car before the end of this year, but from what ive been told , having an automatic and a 5 speed is only like .5 of a second different in the quarter so it really wont make that big of a diff. then right, unless our cars are almost the same speed and the .5 of a second comes into play, which more than likely it wont right, but ne ways thanks for yurs opinions , i dont think ill be runnin him for money but wish me luck ne ways(oh yeah and correct me if i'm wrong about the difference in having and auto. and manual in the quarter mile times)

.5 seconds in the quarter mile is a lot when you look at in the perspective of car lengths... one tenth of a second can be about two to three or more car lengths speeding around 90-100mph

go to http://www.car-stats.com to get quarter mile times. Id say stock with the same driver, the 240 should win. I own a 91 integra, its pretty slow. But theres not that big of a difference, so if he gets a better launch then you, quicker shifts, sprays, you might end up losing.

Practice driving, get a flashlight search his car for nitrous/mods. Any race for money they should let you, and you should be good to go. Good luck

fyi. LS bone stock with good driver should run a 16 flat.

you should have the natural FR advantage over FF. Your car would accelertae faster i think bc you are pushing your weight, not pulling it, which is what an FF does. And its a LS model so i think you have a winning chance. If im wrong please correct me!!!!
