Hi all ya Silvia dudes

i wanted to install a alarm in my S14 SR20DET Japan spec silvia, but i ran in to some trouble, and will make sure that i have the right wires so i wanna start out with some questions aboutthe wires i need, here is a diagram over the alarm device:



here is the numbers and what i have done,gonna do with it:

1. is that this wire what turns the trunk light on and is it good enough to take that wire in the trunk to be sure that i have the right one...??

2. door trigger that the red/white one that are in the drivers kick panel, that wire to the right side of the yellow one, btw is that to boxes only the drivers kickpanel or is it all that stuff down there.-...?

3.direction light have i taken by the emergency flash light

4. same here

5. hood pin trigger, can i use that or schould i then buy a sort of contact do use that wire, think that S14`s not come with that wire...

6. is that the starter or the "on" wire, and what wire is that

7. Domelight am i gonne twist together with the door trigger wire

8. that will then be my trunk release kit whats gonna be mounted to that wire

9.there im gonna take the red/green wire by the brake pedal

10.where the hell i am gonna mount that wire

11.Same question here

12.that will be the jumper from the door trigger red/white one that tells the main alarm computer if it is negativ or positive triggered? and that will then be negativ

13. same here as number 12

will i then take the power from + and - from the batteri or is it better to take it anywhere else?!?

and what does that meen by 7 and 8 where there is a - , schould the wire be mounted to the - wire

here is a picture of the doors central lock systemwhat do i do with that one

hope someone can help me because my car is standing with all the interiour apart

I'll try helping you but I can't stress this enough.. If you can, get help from a pro to install this. There are lots of bad things that can happend. Needless to say, I can't be held responsible if anything goes wrong. And last but not least, the wire colors I'm referring are for the S13 (should be about the same on S14s but please be sure to confirm them with a proper voltmeter)

1. This is for the trigger when the trunk is oppened.. There should be a switch to detect when the trunk is oppened (if you have a light back there that turns on when you open the trunk).This wire will trigger the alarm if the trunk is openned..You are looking for ground when trunk is opened.

2. You can get this wire from the courtesy light that turns on under the dash when you open the door. (this way you can keep everywire on the driver's side). This wire is simply a reference to know when a door has been opened.Again, you are looking for ground when the door is opened.

3&4. I don't know why it's using the signal lights.. normally alarms use parking lights.. Anyway, you can get them on the hazzard switch. Look for a wire that only has 12v when the left/right signal light blinks. Repeat for other side.

5. Pin trigger should go to the hood pin (should have come with the alarm, don't think the car has a factory one.)This wire triggers the alarm if the hood is opened.You are looking for ground when the trunk is openned.

6. That's the wire that gets 12v when the key is switched to the ON position (black/red I think).. You get that wire from the harness on the steering column.You are looking for 12 volts when the key is in the ON possition

7. You can leave disconnected.. unless you want to find out the domelight wiring.

8. That one is correct.

9. Correct.

10 . Should be for the starter/ign inhibitor.. You'll need a relay for this (should have been included).Normally you use it to interrupt the starter wire to prevent the engine from turning over (Normally I use the IGN wire instead since manual trannys can still be turned on by pushing if using the starter wire, IGN prevents the car from starting even if pushed)

Starter wire is black/white and should only get 12v when cranking the engine. -Cut this wire, connect one side to the 30 and the other to the 87a terminal of the relay.-Splice terminal 85 with the IGN wire (the one you used for #6)-Connect wire #10 to the terminal 86 from the relay.

11. I'm guessing this is for controlling an optional accesory, such as a rollup module, etc. If you don't have any you can leave it disconnected.

12&13. Correct (-) trigger.

For the PowerLocks I'm pretty sure S13/S14 is a negative trigger so you'll be using the second diagram there..

Sorry the power lock wires do change between the S13 and S14.. can't tell you where they are..

probably somewhere on the driver's side kickpanel (maybe on the plug you pictured)

The wire that turns to ground when you move the door lock to locked is where you'll connect the close signal.. Repeat for the open signal..
