I'm looking into buying an intake to make up for the loss in torque when i get my catback, and trying to decide the best option.

I like the Injen short-ram, it seems to be the best option for me. (If you don't like it please enlighten me as to the problems you've had with it)

I'm just wondering though, should I wait and save up for the CAI, or is the short ram good enough? I just want the added flow and sound, is it really worth the 100 extra bucks just to get a little bit cooler intake air?

I'm not building a motor or anything here, just looking to make my car a bit more fun to drive. If it's not a huge difference I'll just get the short ram.

I doubt you could tell the difference between a short and cai, its just an intake not a turbo.

The advantage to the extension is when your engine and engine bay become heat-soaked. I think you would be able to tell the difference between the two then.

But you can do a lot with a hundred bucks...

I know the reason behind them, I just wasn't sure if it really made all that much difference. And you're right, 100 bucks could probably be spent towards something else that would ultimately help me more.
