Scenario: If you had the money for an intake to put in your coupe with an unbiased opinion, would you pick an Injen intake or a Nismo intake? Weigh the pros and cons. I really want to know what people think.

I might choose Nismo because it's Nissan, and would be covered under my current warranty, where as I think Injen is not.

Remeber... If you had the money to throw out the window what would you pick? Don't pick Injen because you like or have Injen parts and don't pick Nismo because you like or have Nismo parts.

And before nay sayers say theres no Nismo intake -.- according to local mechanics, it can be done =D! Once again, I don't jump into things but I'd still like to hear others opinions.

I'm not aware of a Nismo intake, but I can assure you that here in Canada, the other Nismo parts do not fall under the car warranty, and are treated like any other aftermarket part.

Damn. I'm starting to doubt that there are any Nismo intakes for the coupe yet myself as I couldn't come across any, but mechanics and body shop owners in these parts SWEAR by it.

BUT... I thought that Nismo was covered. Thanks for that info. Can anyone confirm it in the United States?(I'm at work so I do tons of research and get boredd.) Now I'm leaning towards Injen! Haha.

Anyone with Nismo catbacks can get involved too. How you like it? Does Nissan cover you?

the correct option here is to say you would have the fujita intake, and I'm also pretty sure nismo does not make a specific intake for this car

lol... I know what's going on here. They were going to slap a Nismo sticker on a Fujita intake and sell it to me for more =[!

Still no answer on Nismo products conflicting with Nissan's warranty though.

EDIT: Found this in another thread.

even nissan covers nismo parts if purchased and installed by nissan dealers.

but if ur gonna let ur exhaust go, i would gladly pick it up from u
That answers that. Any happy Fujita customers? Same goes with Nismo still. I need more infooooo!

How did you make out? lol

Relax with all the warranty stuff. At the moment there isnt anything serious enough to ruin anything. And if something does go down, take the part off and put the oem part back on.

Yup he is right, get the fujita for cheap or wait for the new K&N that is coming out.

K&N huh? Any links to a thread on that yet? Pros for K&N if any? You guys just told me they're basically the same.

As for the warranty stuff. I guess I could always take stuff out, but that is a pain.

Just to clarify the warranty issue. It doesn't matter that your Nissan dealer installs the parts. The Nismo parts themselves have a specific warranty. That warranty is far shorter than a new car warranty, and is typically one year. Nissan will 'handle' your Nismo warranty work, in most situations, but the Nismo parts are NOT part of your new car warranty.

As for the intake... Injen FTW!
